Workout of the week | Chambery and ChampagneHey hey hey! One of my resolutions this year was to move my body and really sweat on a weekly basis, and I thought it would be fun to share a different workout each week on the blog for you all! I find it so interesting and inspiring to see what workouts people are completing and what their goals are for their fitness journey. This week’s goals are:

  • Get in a workout 5 of the 7 days
  • Practice yoga on a rest day

And now for the workout of the week….

Monday: LEGS 

Warm-up: Do either (or both) of these until you feel warm!

  • 10 minutes on the stair master PLUS
  • 1) Low sideways walking lunges with resistance band
  • 2) Walking lunges on a treadmill

Superset: 4 sets

  • Smith machine sumo squats (10 reps)
  • Smith machine single leg lunges (8 reps each leg)

Tri-set: 3 sets

  • Sumo leg press (10 reps)
  • Side step ups on a bench/platform (10 reps)
  • Standing calf raises (burnout–do these until you can’t anymore!)

Superset: 5 sets

  • Hamstring curls (12 reps)
  • Single leg stiff leg deadlift with barbell (8 reps each leg)

Always be sure to stretch and/or foam roll before and after a lift session! This will help with soreness and flexibility! I hope you all enjoyed today’s post –M
